Outdoor Activities

The Upper Valley Land Trust’s outdoor recreation program offers a number of ways to enjoy UVLT-protected lands.

UVLT Field Trips: These include special events celebrating recent conservation projects, new trail openings, and more.

UVLT Trails: A number of landowners who have conserved their property with UVLT have also chosen to allow public trails on their land. Thanks to the generosity of these landowners, the help of individual volunteers, and the support of partner organizations, UVLT is able to provide more than 20 trails on conserved lands throughout the Upper Valley for use by community members.

Connecticut River Primitive Campsites: UVLT manages 7 primitive campsites for paddlers along the Connecticut River. Many of these campsites are made possible by private landowners and are maintained by volunteers for the enjoyment of the public.

Other Outdoor Events: Check here to learn about hikes and activites on UVLT-conserved lands hosted by conservation partners.

Trail Workdays & Projects in Progress: UVLT relies on volunteers to build and maintain community trails on conserved lands. To find out how you can help, pleae contact Stewardship Manager Pete Helm.
